This makes it easy for water to be separated from crude oil and enhances the quality as well as subsequent processes of the crude oil hence the importance of this invention. The technology appears to rely on the dielectric constant difference between oil and water, which makes it suitable to achieve an efficient separation of the two without the need to employ chemical demulsifiers, hence cutting on the cost of operations.
